Obey Your Secretary! by Choko Kabutomaru

eManga | Too hot for Kindle! | Nook | PDF | Goodreads

When Masatsugu's father spontaneously decides to travel the world, Masatsugu is forced into the role of company president. The plus side is that the secretary assigned to him is Shiroba, the man he's madly in love with. But Shiroba only seems to see Masatsugu as his boss instead of as a potential lover. If Masatsugu pulls a few strings, he can win Shiroba's body. However, Masatsugu isn't quite as in charge as he thinks he is.

Obey Your Secretary! features three short stories of strong and confident secretaries who use unconventional (and sexy) methods to whip their bosses into shape. Also included are two stories of sweet office romance. It's not always a bad idea to get your meat where you make your bread!

March Updates!

It looks like I'm falling into a pattern of posting updates roughly once a month.  You know what?  I can live with that.

We've currently got three titles that have been submitted, but are apparently held up in production.  Maybe it's time to start pestering somebody about those at the next webcast.  DMI staff, we're comin' for you! >:3 ;)

Lettering for two other titles is well under way.  I can't speak about The Fortnight Before (Sae Nakamura), but Prince and Butler (Rayra Katagiri) is very, very eye-opening.  Steeeamy.  Fans of smutty yaoi should definitely put this one on their wishlists.

Some nifty things have been going on at eManga.com lately:
  • They're branching out into video games!  That's cool, I guess.  I'm not personally interested, but it's great for the folks who are. :)
  • They're branching out into eeeeeeverything.  Wow!  The navigation menu has placeholders for anime and American comics, in addition to the aforementioned video games.
  • There's now an Online User counter on the front page!  I know, not particularly noteworthy, but I'm just tickled by stuff like that.  ^^
SinisterQueien: The Fortnight Before (name change pending) is REALLY good! I wasn't expecting this one to have so much sex in it! Also, I was shocked by how predictable yet unpredictable the stories were. In each of the three stories, the romantic side of the story felt really obvious to me, but there was always something in the main plot that threw me for a loop. Also, the last story features a tsundere guy! :D I'm such a sucker for tsunderes...

I'm also really enjoying I Want to Hear Your Voice. It's so touching! ;_; Unfortunately, there's some...er... objectionable material that we need to talk to DMG about. Other than that, though, it's really good!

Another cool thing going on with emanga is that they're going to start publishing comics, short stories, novellas, and more. I'm really looking forward to all this new material that's becoming available on the site!

Updates and New Assignments!

Happy mid-February!  Here's a bunch of progress updates. :)

Welcome to Nyan Cafe, by Kira Nakamura

Not twenty minutes ago, I finished lettering the final pages of Nyan Cafe.  Soooo cyoooot.  Kittyboys EVERYWHERE.  Now all that's left is a few more QC passes, and then submission.  Maybe we'll see this one released by March.  Fingers crossed that it makes it through DMG Production quickly! (We're still waiting on some projects that were submitted...last year...? ^^; )

Now the good stuff.  We got some new assignments!

The Fortnight Before,
by Sae Nakamura

Sinister Queien is signed on to edit this one! Hmm hmm hmm, I wonder what's in it...

Switch On, by Kashio

We ride again!  Switch On! is the first new Sinister Hands assignment since last year's Yes It's Me. (Yes, Nyan Cafe is now an SH project, but that was decided retroactively.  Switch On! is under our name from the start!)

The translator for this project is fresh DMG blood, so let's hope he gets a hot warm yaoi welcome. >:]

Progress report!

Hello, all!  I've just updated the lovely Coming Soon page, and figured I'd share some updates here as well.

Read on for my detailed progress report.

Happy New Year's Eve!

Sorry for the lack of activity on the front page lately.  I can only promise you that a lot has actually been going on behind the scenes.  I periodically edit the Coming Soon post with status updates when projects are moving, so it's not all quiet here!

Over on the DMG production side, I hope everyone knows that eManga.com has recently gotten an enormous overhaul.  It's now easier than ever to find titles published under the DMG banner, or any of Digital Manga, Inc.'s other imprints.  You have the option of reading manga online, or downloading in any format for any ereader you might have.  By the by, you have from now until this Friday, January 4, 2013, to use the coupon code DMYC655 in order to receive 10% off your entire eManga order (one use per user).  If you're at a loss as what to use it on, might I humbly suggest one of our own titles which are Available Now? ;)

As a reminder to anybody with a Goodreads account, I'm the one who's been obsessively compiling shelves of all the fan-localized DMG titles in two lists:  One for BL titles, and one for general audience titles.  A Goodreads account is quite handy when you want to keep track of things you've read, things you want to read, things you've left reviews for, etc.

So, let's talk about New Year's resolutions. I've had a project percolating in the back of my mind for a while now, but I'd been waiting on the new eManga launch to see whether or not it'd be necessary.  And it seems it is.  I want to put together an index of DMG groups and their homepages.  It'll live over in the right sidebar there, and it'll probably be no more than a simple alphabetical list of groups with a link to their main page/blog, and maybe a banner if they want to include one.  So heads up to any group leaders who may be reading this - I'll probably be in touch soon to see if you want to be listed. :)

Behind the Scenes: Love Chemistry Lab

Love Chemistry Lab is by far, the smuttiest book we've worked on, and it might even be the smuttiest book I, personally, have read.  It was especially jarring because the other two books in the assigned bundle were positively chaste. ^^;

Upon rereading LCL, I realized that there's not much in the way of interesting trivia or references, so this post will focus more on localizer commentary and actual Behind the Scenes info on the production process.  Enjoy!

Love is Like a Hurricane PLUS, by Tokiya Shimazaki

eManga | Kindle | Nook | PDF | Goodreads

President Azuma, known for both his intelligence and attractiveness, fell in love at first sight with Mizuki Hasegawa. Mizuki Hasegawa wasn't very impressed with his courtship, from the first surprising fumbling he felt on the train on his way to school, to being told that he reminded Azuma of a dog he used to own. Azuma found himself with his hands full as Mizuki battled him every step of the way to no avail, and all too soon, the pair found themselves in the eye of a hurricane of love. ♥ Now a long established couple, the pair have matured a bit, and return in this sequel to the wildly popular original series. Everything is far from smooth sailing, however, as their love continues to encounter category 4 storms thanks to Mizuki's short temper and Azuma's own machinations. Can their love survive?
